J is for Joy

Webster's defines joy as:
"a great feeling of pleasure or happiness."

There are many things that bring me joy -
- my tennis ball
- being scratched under my front legs
- a cube of cheese (and now that I am on a diet, a carrot)
-
a good nap in a sunbeam
- being with my people
- snow

I could go on, but what I would really like to know is,
what brings you joy?

Tell me in the comments below.

Dill

J is for Jackalope

A jackalope is an animal that is part rabbit and part antelope. Many people believe that jackalopes are made up creatures, but I know they are real. Recently I travelled across country from Virginia to Oregon. At a stop in Wyoming a jackalope joined me in the back of the car.

Okay, it was a stuffed toy jackalope, bought for me to play with in the car, but still........
I believe!

I is for Imp

An imp is a mischievous child.
Truman is an imp.
He spends his whole day causing trouble in a playful way.
Just when I want to get mad at him I remember he's still a puppy. And he's cute. AND he make me smile. So........
he gets away with being an imp!

Do you have any imps in your life?

I is for Intelligence

Webster's defines intelligence as:
the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills.

Dogs have a very high intelligence.
Think about it for a moment....
We learn to follow commands spoken to us in a language we don't use.
We are very skilled at knowing just what to do to make our people give us a cookie, let us outside, or take us for a walk.
We even know to do things without being asked such as, sitting by our person's side when they are feeling lonely.

And we do all this while making our people believe they are the intelligent ones!
Yes, when it is all said and done I would say, we dogs are geniuses!!

Dill
