U is for Useful

I like to be useful.
I often help around the house by pulling all my toys out of my toy box. I think this helps show my people that maybe they might like to buy me a new toy. See, that's useful!
I am useful by making sure it is known when Truman is doing something wrong. And I don't even expect him to thank me!
I am useful by barking non-stop when the mailman arrives. This lets my people know, "Mail's here!"
I am useful by being fluffy and cute and making people smile when they see my fluffy cuteness. Now THAT'S a use that cannot be denied!
I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. I am one useful canine!

U is for Unique

I am unique. You are unique. We are all unique.
Unique means we are remarkable, special and unusual (another "u" word!).
Truman - my nephew - is unique and VERY unusual, but that is why I like him. It would be boring if we were all the same.
It is fun to have friends who are different from you; who are unique.

Today is a terrific day.
Today has been filled with tasty treats, tossing tennis balls and tugging Truman's tale.
Today has been my best day yet.......until tomorrow. Which will then be a today and will then be another terrific day!

What is the temperature where you live today?
I live in Alaska and today is March 3rd. That means the temperature where I live is COLD! The last few days it has been 25 degrees below zero.
Brrrrrrr!
I am lucky because I have my own fur coat that keeps me warm.

Shhhhhh, don't tell anyone, but I have a superhero power! Do you want to know what it is? Okay, I'll tell you. My power is the ability to make people smile! How do I do it? Just by being myself. I have learned that you don't have to save the world to be a superhero - it is the small things you do everyday to make people happy that make you a hero in their eyes.
